I’ve watched that show a few times. Those British guys come up with some crazy ideas. I saw them build and launch a scaled version of the space shuttle. They took a small car, mounted two booster rockets to its sides, installed some wings on it, and stood it vertically. They planned on gliding the car back to the ground after launch using typical RC controls. It launched superbly but the car never separated from the rockets….so the whole thing made a beautiful arc from the launch pad to the ground. It would have worked. Also saw them cut cars in half and make limo’s out of them….some really long ones that couldn’t turn at all. Funny stuff.
