The Pieces of the Puzzle are coming together…

Wow…. I found this just today!  Written 10 years ago!

May 9, 1996

I was working on the puzzle again and this time, I noticed something different.  Because the puzzle was started not too long ago, not many pieces are put together.  What’s more is that some are connected rather loosely.  The pieces are barely hanging together to the frame and they are very fragile when shear is applied.  Yet, as I put in one more piece at a time, it adds more rigidity to the puzzle.  It holds the puzzle a little bit more firmly.   Such is the Body of Christ where each one plays an integral and important part in keeping the Body together and united.

On the similar note, when I tried to put a wrong piece in a place that it does not belong, many a times, the piece ends up damaged and ruins the structure.  Sometimes, they look as if it was exactly right piece yet with closer look, it didn’t.  When we try to place someone where they do not belong, have the gifts for, nor is called by God, everything will go ugly and the person involved will end up not only hurt but also suffering with the Body as well.

As each puzzle finds its place and where it belongs, the puzzle becomes clearer of what it is supposed to represent:  the picture.  The structure of it becomes stronger and things start to make sense.  A piece, by itself, does not make any sense at all… yet in a well-put puzzle with other pieces, it sure makes sense.  As Christ guides each one of us and shows us how and where we fit into the Body of Christ, His Church, both local and universal, becomes strengthened and the LORD’s plan begins to make sense to us.

I have to thank God for giving me the gift that seeks to learn constantly.  I have learned so much from my own research and classes, and in life and nature.  I do believe that if we looked close enough, we should be able to learn more about God, Christ, and His Mighty Plans for us all…  After all, God did create the world and calculus.  If only people tried to find God and His lessons in daily life would we be a little wiser and more discerning…

NY Times News: South Korean Clearly See Mobile TV

I’m jealous!  🙁

NY Times has an article (free registration req’d) that reports how Koreans have been watching live TV for free on small portable devices (incl. cell phones!)!!

Oh I wish we did that here!  But no… we have to be charged for such services!  Shucks… It’s cool see such leaps in advances of technology… clearly, we the USA have to do more than catch up!

We will be left behind soon at this pace… and I read that Germany will soon have 50 Mbps Internet service!  😮  Man…

Looking forward to…

Elder Scrolls 4: The Oblivion!

What I love are RPG games… but what I love even more are in-depth and rich RPG games!  This game is expected to shatter all those things and more!!  Drool…  For PC of course!!  I just hope my PC can handle it…  🙁

Just gotta love an awesome journey… I still fondly remember playing Baldur’s Gate II.  That’s a sheer master piece!!  I just hope it doesn’t fall short…

NPR Show: Car Talk

Every Saturday morning at 9:00 am, on Houston’s Public Radio station, 88.7 FM, National Public Radio‘s THE best show comes online…

Car Talk

It’s a talk show from two brothers who consult on car troubles from the callers all over the US.  However, what’s so fun and great is their interactions… with each other and the callers!  Though they may sound old (and they are), they are so much fun to listen to!  I have never had a radio show that I wanted to tune in so badly!  They now have podcasts so I’m tempted to get them as well (check out their website)…

Not only that, they are very good at what they mainly talk about:  cars.  I pick up so many things about it that it’s just unbelievable!  Give them a try if you haven’t already…  I am a big fan now!

Coffee Cutout

I’ve always enjoyed coffee.  In fact, I’ve even experimented with it when I was like 10 years old!  I mixed cocoa with coffee thinking I had created the something magnificent when in fact, mocha was already in existence!

I’ve also worked with a German professor and a Russian post-doc who make their coffee extra punchy!  However, since starting to work, I’ve gotten used to the thinner coffee.  Still, I drink about 2 cups a day!  So I’ve begun for myself a campaign to cut off the amount.  Starting yesterday, I decided to drink 2x 2/3 cups (= 1 1/3 cups).  After few more weeks, I will just be down to 1 cup a day.  I already try not to drink it when I can, make my body not get used to patterns.

That smell and aroma…  mmm…  you see, I used to drink about 4 cups a week!  However, that was before having kids… and it became just necessity.  As they sleep better, I hope to go back to that…  Here’s to your… um… alertness!  😛
