Record sleep!

So for some reason, I was really tired and slept at 10:30 pm or so and woke up at 8 am!!

EDIT: I think I figured out why my body wanted to sleep so much so early…  I’m feeling sick.

Making the most out of… the lemons…

So Soojin got the flu…
She called me at work from home after 1 pm. Work has been getting very busy as of late but she has to get rest…. So I headed home and she had fever just over 100 F.  So after dishes and such, I decided to take the kids outside since that would be the best way for Soojin to get rest.  So I decided to make the most out of it by taking them to Bay Area Park and pick up a pizza from Papa John’s on the way back.

I was partially(?) sick but I wanted to make the most out of this “situation” and the kids had a blast at the playground… and after about an hour and half of running around, swinging, and chasing, we headed to the lake… and just… watched.  Sat by the “shore” on a bench and watched the birds… counted how many were sitting on a tree…

We walked back holding hands… and then tried to race together… WHILE holding hands!    And then picked up the pizza but since JJ was falling asleep in the car, I offered him a deal .. “blue juice” aka. Gatorade Frost!   Anna and JJ also discovered how much they love Papa John’s (good-for-nothing) garlic butter.  At least, despite our being sick, they had a blast.  Soojin is now on the good ol’ TheraFlu.

Did a little part of me die??

Or is it just me?  ‘Cause as I got my haircut today here in NJ, I noticed that even more hair was white.  And I don’t know if it’s because my black hair is blacker than jet black, but the white hair seemed even more white.  Maybe it was due to the dark purple cloth they used to wrap around me for the haircut but boy, I don’t think that the white hair could seem so white!!!

White hair… I only have the Proverbs to comfort me, I suppose… I better be really wise then!!!

Body of CNET editor, James Kim, found…

This is sad news on more than one ground…

James Kim is an editor for CNET.com and a father of two.  This is sad for more than one reason…

1. He’s a rare Korean-American in a field that is rarely occupied so visibly online.

2. He’s a father of two children leaving behind also his wife.

His family was stranded in rural Oregon and after several days in the car, he went out to search for help.  Help came for the family who stayed in the car, but he never returned and was found dead today.    This hits home more so because I would’ve done the same to seek help for my family if we were stranded so…

My prayers go out to the surviving family…  please pray for the family.    James died being a hero to his family, doing his very best to the end to save his family… brings me to tears…

Can you say “Brown Rice Tea”?!!

I’ve been trying to cut down on coffee by drinking some green tea and such… and then one day, I discovered…

And all I want to say is WOW!! It’s very soothing… the brown rice definitely adds well to the touch! The Japanese of the day is “Yamamotoyama”!

Christine’s killer workout!

So when do you find out how out of shape you are?!

After Christine‘s Cardio workout!    She nearly killed all 7 of us!  That’s what you get when you ask a 3rd degree Taekwondo black belt to lead the cardio workout!     I thought I was going to die… and right now, I’m sore all over…  I might call in sick next Sunday!    Oh and she said that it was “medium” level workout!

Just kidding… thanks for doing this for us out-of-shape folks, Christine
