Curiously Odd Habits

It started when we visited H-Mart.  JJ had asked me which color he should pick: white or green.  I had no idea so I said green.  Then he started hopping on only the green tiles.

I didn’t teach him this stuff but it came out.  I remember my younger days and creating a game out of it myself to jump only from a shadow to another shadow, or to step only in particular tiles or shapes.  Here is JJ doing the very same thing but I hadn’t even mentioned it!  I was so enticed on how kids can play and how certain habits and ways of playing  just get passed down genetically.

I played with him of course and he’d complain every now and then how green tiles seemed so far from each other.  It’s really good to be a kid… and I am so glad that JJ is enjoying his childhood… even if he doesn’t quite realize it.  I hope he and Anna will continue to have fun being kids.  It only lasts a short time anyway…

Apple Greed: Proprietary chip in Shuffle earphones?!!

Gizmodo

I knew that Apple (and all other companies) was greedy but… WTH?!  Apple put proprietary chip in the new Shuffle’s earphones?!!  This means that you can’t just use other earphones or headphones!!  You have to shell out extra if you want a better one ’cause other third parties will have to pay a licensing fee to Apple to build a Shuffle-compatible earphones!!  WTH?!!  Now, I really despise Apple!  😡

Oh and I am on a roll!!!  Three post in one day!!  Woohoo to me!  😛

Kids’ First Joke

Ok, I don’t know if it’s an original one… but on the way to Anna’s piano lesson, JJ started off the conversation that soon turned into a [repeating] joke.

JJ: Y-E-S spells ‘yes’.
Anna: Yes, it does spell ‘yes’.

And they kept on repeating and then soon laughter ensued. Rather endlessly. It was rather a cute occurrence really. I guess you just had to be there. 😀

Frustration-Free Packaging from Amazon.com

Lately, more and more things we buy are packaged sooo tightly that it’s a chore in itself to unpack it!  I have to cut at least 5 places before I can get things loose from its captivating box.  And this would be AFTER I had to cut through the plastic packaging around the product just so I could open it up!  😡

I understand that people want to protect it and keep it out of children’s reach… but come on!!  So it’s 1) no surprise, and 2) great pleasure to hear and find out that Amazon.com is doing something about it~!  They will start with their top selling items to ship it in what they are now calling “frustration-free packaging”!

Frustration-Free Packaging

I am just saddened that we had to come THIS far to stop it!  nice name… gonna call it FF packaging?!  😛
