Man Spends 200 Hours Building Entirely Wooden Bike (Except For The Chain Rollers And A Few Washers)

https://geekologie.com/2018/10/man-spends-200-hours-building-a-bike-ent.php

This is a video of Youtuber The Q spending 200 hours building a rideable bicycle entirely out of wood. Well, except for the chain rollers (the parts of the chain that make contact with the pedal gear) and a few washers, just like I mentioned in the title. Do a bunny hop! Obviously, it’s definitely not the most practical bike in the world to ride. Or practical at all. Why did you build this again? You might as well have gone all the way and made the wheels triangles. Just kidding it’s perfect do a car next would watch and subscribe.

Keep going for the video.

Thanks to Eric P, who agrees wood is good, but metal is bettel. “Better?” Yeah but that doesn’t rhyme.

Google Maps adds EV charging station info

https://www.autoblog.com/2018/10/17/google-maps-ev-charging-station-info/

Following recent updates that help users plan their

commutes

and

group events

, Google Maps is now helping EV drivers figure out where to charge their vehicles. A new feature is rolling out today that will let you search for charging stations and provide you with useful information about that station.

Just search for “EV charging stations” or “EV charging,” and Google Maps will locate those nearby. It will also tell you what types of ports are available, how many there are as well as the station’s charging speeds, and businesses with charging stations will now have a link that will lead you to more information about their setup. Additionally, you’ll be able to see what other users thought of the station, as Google Maps will bring up user-posted photos, ratings and reviews.

Google Maps will include information about charging stations from Tesla and Chargepoint worldwide. In the US, it will also source info about SemaConnect, EVgo and Blink stations. UK users will have access to Chargemaster and Pod Point stations, while Australia and New Zealand EV drivers will see info on Chargefox stations. The feature is rolling out today on both Android and iOS.

Over the weekend a beta was held for Fallout 76 and to participate the chosen gamers had to sign an NDA. That NDA was clear, no posting of pictures, video, or even allowing others to watch you play. One guy decided to ignore all those rules and posted a 90-second video on Twitter reports Forbes.

The rebuke was swift from Bethesda and Xbox. Bethesda watched the video posted to Twitter, saw that the poster invited a Reddit friend to the stress test, which showed the offender’s username. Once the username was seen, Bethesda had the offender’s Twitter account taken down.

Bethesda also banned the user from the beta and stress test until October 25. Xbox was having none of this leaking business and piled its own punishment on top.

The breaker of NDAs also saw his Xbox Gold, Game Pass, and Xbox Insider accounts suspended until January 1. With Fallout 76 launching this month, that means the leaker won’t get to play the game on Xbox at launch.
