I have always been a big Lego person and a supporter… it is by far the single best toy a kid can have! So when I came across this video short, I was immensely pleased and just HAD to share it! Enjoy! And if you have kids, get them some Lego!!
Outdoor Ice Skating in Houston
It is doable! Even in Houston, it’s doable to ice skate outside!
It’s available through January 18, 2010 at Discovery Green. Sure it costs $10 per person (even for a 5-year-old kid!), but it’s an experience not easy to come by! Especially for a hot place like Houston! It was my kids’ first time on ice and skates at the same time! I was unsure how they would respond to it but they responded phenomenally! Sure it was crowded but JJ loved every minute of it! He “skated” as if he was tip toe walking it (that’s because he did!) and Anna seemed almost natural!
This Friday, some families from our church will go to Galveston’s Moody Gardens for its Festival of Lights, a light show that is annual. During my 11 years of life in Houston, we have yet to go! So it will be fun I hope… and ice skate again!
New Camaro is designed by a Korean
Wow… I totally wouldn’t have guessed or known that!! My son JJ loves the new Camaro thanks to the Transformers movie! It’s great to know that such cool car was designed by a Korean.
Smart Power Outlets: Safety AND Green
I tend to be wish wash when it comes to green and going green… however, this video of John La Grou talking about the smart power outlets has me very intrigued. I hope this really catches on… both to save people and homes from electrical fires as well as saving loads of energy. He notes that there are over 10 billion electrical outlets in US alone!! Yikes…
Two Generations of Pastors
I wanted to show my pride in the two generations of pastors in our family. My father had sent me this article where he and my younger brother were featured in Korean Christian Daily newspaper. Loosely translated, my brother Paul states that he had become a pastor “from watching our father’s faithfulness in pastoring… not focusing on tough life of now but focusing on the eternal importance of the future.” Good stuff… I wanted to show my pride in two people that have dedicated their lives to serving God.
Save “Chuck”!
One of the cool shows of the recent years (unlike the stoopid “Lost”) is my new favorite, Chuck. It’s a slightly comedic show on a nerd guy who becomes a CIA agent and carries the Intersect, the super secret data supercomputer, in his brain.
Even Soojin has been getting into the show. It’s funny and it’s got the romance for the female audience. Well, the show may get cancelled and not return from the second season. All I have to say to that is “BOOOO!!”. So with the power of the Internet and network sites, people have been rallying to save the show!! Go do whatever you have to do to save the show!! Please!!
CNN Money’s Video Interview on St. Philip’s Academy in Newark, NJ
A school in Newark, NJ has really inspired me to see what true education is all about! These are the truest moments when I applaud our education system and the teachers. I sure hope that my kids can someday go to schools like this one…
