Getting out of the house and meeting new people is hard. For a long time, I let inertia limit me to the same neighborhood and daily routine—until I started playing a mobile, augmented-reality game from Google called Ingress. In just a few months, I’ve explored places I’d never seen before, met tons of new and interesting people, and walked hundreds of cumulative miles—all because of a simple video game on my phone.

I Can’t Wait To Ride In These Autonomous Drone Taxis

We keep hearing how technology will eventually solve the problem of vehicular traffic for good. Self-driving cars will only get us halfway to that future—they’re still cars, clogging up our roads, speeding down our freeways. The personal mobility future that I’m waiting for includes autonomous drone taxis that can sail high over the city, delivering me safely to my destination.

Video: Meat glue turns cheap cuts of beef into a fake ribeye steak

Meat glue is always going to be totally weird sounding but we’ve all eaten it before (if you eat at fast food restaurants, at least). It’s derived from blood and is a clotting agent that allows different types of meat to stick to each other, hence the name. You can do a lot of weird, Frankenstein-type experiments with it.
