Bah bah Black Sheep

My kids love songs… and most of times, they like it before sleep. One such favorite is “Bah bah Black Sheep”…  Know it?  Well, it goes something like this…

Bah bah Black Sheep, have you any wool?
Yes, sir, yes, sir, three bags full.
One for the master, one for the dame.
One for the little boy who lives down the lane.

Well, there’s a second verse… white sheep.  What makes it … funny and memorable is what my Anna did one night.  She asked about OTHER sheep!    So I had to make up new lyrics for Green Sheep, Pink Sheep, and Blue sheep and on!!  Well, the thing is you have to find PEOPLE to replace the lyrics with!!  😮

So I decided to use families I know with kids I know!  For example…

Bah bah Pink Sheep, have you any wool?
Yes, sir, yes, sir, four bags full.
One for Sarah, one for Sammy.
One for Pastor Shawn, and one for Samonim.

Hee… and go on with Toby’s family, my family, and so on…  😀  It’s in their nature… They make their own lyrics!!  Gotta hear them sometime…  Hee…

Grandmas and Wrestling

I miss my grandma.  Shucks.  We lived close to her in my childhood from when I was 9 till 12.  This is the same grandma that passed away to be with God earlier this year in January…

What prompted this?  Well, my mother-in-law, Anna and JJ’s grandmother, has been staying with us for past 3 weeks now.  And there’s one thing she LOVES!  WWE wrestling!!    How weird is that?!  She knows of the what’s going ons more than I do!  Just this past Friday or so, she got to watch one and she felt soooo good after that one as the bad guy was smacked with a chair!!  Ha ha ha…  she said that she could sleep well that night!  What is up with Korean grandmas??!!

My belated grandmother also loved wrestling… swearing left and right, throwing in her own gestures of sorts… I miss her.    I hope she gets to see some good re-runs up in Heaven!    Here’s to you grandma!  You rock!

Weekend with Grandma

As many of you know, Soojin’s mom has been in town. So here’s the summary of the weekend…

First, it rained… so the kids played outside after the rain…

Totally reminds me of the childhood days… 🙂

And here’s what JJ started…

Is this odd? No? How about this?  😮

And on Saturday, when the rain totally cooled the afternoon into cooler 70’s, we rushed to Bayou Wildlife Park in Alvin, Texas! It’s a very nice petting zoo with a tram ride on loads of animals from zebras and giraffes to antelopes and other animals!

But first… a family picture… sort of…  😛

And here’s Soojin’s typical facial expression during the tram ride…

And as a personally made gift from the grandma, these are what we all received…

And what’s not to like about Anna’s “special” hairdo, courtesy of grandma?! No wonder Anna loves her to death!

Anna the Heart Breaker

Oh… she’s gonna be such a heart breaker when she grows up! I’m gonna make sure of it!! Ha ha ha ha… Shucks, I miss her already…

Picture of the Day

Anna and JJ Dressed up

Every now and then… we are able to capture that priceless moments of our kids.  This is one of those.  My kids are dressed up for a wedding of a friend and just the sheer looks of what could be construed as the unwillingness to dress up (Anna loves pretty dresses!) is… priceless!  We didn’t tell them to look down or look unhappy.  They just did it… on their own!  Ah…  it’s a piece of art!  😀

Happy birthday Anna!

My dearest daughter turns 4 today!

I remember how much trouble she gave Soojin by not eating well the first 6 months.

I remember how she didn’t sleep through the night until she was 9 months old!

I remember how she threw up purple juice and pizza on me!

I remember how fast she started to say words…

Time sure flies when your loved ones grow up!   As difficult as the past 4 years have been, they have been also even more of joy in our God-given parenthood!  I still wouldn’t have traded her for the world!

Happy birthday sweetie!

Mom & dad love you very much!
