On the Lookout: James Choung’s Upcoming Book

I’ve met some great people in my college years… and one of them is James Choung, an MIT grad class of ’95. I’ve lost touch with everyone from those years but thanks to Facebook, I’ve found so many friends again, including him!

He’s now a regional director for InterVarsity in southern California! 😀 Not only that, I found out today that he’s coming out with TWO books!  First book is entitled True Story: A Christianity Worth Believing In and the upcoming booket is entitled Based on a True Story and will be published under IV Press. (Duh!)

So if you know him, go represent and buy his book(let) in early 2008!! Awesome!

Simmered Bacon & Tomatoes: An Awesome & Easy Recipe

Well, someone had mentioned that bacon simmered with tomatoes and garlic is great… so yesterday, given the chance, I took a stab at it!

I first cooked the bacon on George Foreman grille!  Reduce the fat as much as possible… in the meanwhile, I put some olive oil and chopped garlic and started to grill that.  I just love the smell of garlic roasting!  And then I threw in chopped tomatoes into the mix, and eventually the bacon cut into pieces.

The end result was just magnifique!!  Even Anna loved it!!  It was sooo good… I wanna eat some more!!  And it went very well with rice to boot!  Yummy… so many thanks to whoever mentioned that recipe idea!!

Omid Djalili – A Must-see Iranian-British Stand-up Comedian!

Of all possible stand-up comics, I just discovered one of the modern best!!

His name is Omid Djalili, an Iranian-British stand-up comedian and he was simply a blast to watch! I just couldn’t stop laughing!! See for yourselves on Youtube! I just watched his “No Agenda” stand-up and it’s beyond hilarious!! Be warned though that he’s not politically correct, but in my opinion, no real good stand-up is politically correct.

We have become too sensitive as a society but really… laugh at yourself for once! 😀
